In both cases, this can cause reduced airflow through one or both nostrils, sinusitis, or other pain.Adeviated septum operation will help you breathe more easily through your nose, improve your sleep quality, and reduce nasal congestion, sinusitis, and similar ailments.
What does it mean for you to have a deviated septum?
The nasal septum is a thin wall that divides the nasal cavity into two equal parts. If you have a deviated septum, it means that the thin wall (septum) between your nasal cavities is displaced to one side or the other. In many people, the nasal septum is deviated without this necessarily being visible from the outside and without causing any symptoms.
The nasal septum can be crooked in various ways. Most often, airflow is obstructed in one nostril, but the septum can also be S-shaped, obstructing airflow in both nostrils. This makes the nasal cavity(ies) smaller and leads to problems such as a stuffy nose, sinusitis, and sleep problems.
